Job summary

Centers for Advanced Urology is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to deliver exemplary patient service by phone or in person. You will welcome patients, register demographics, collect co-pays, scan medical records, and coordinate appointments to ensure smooth intake and checkout processes.

The role requires strong customer service, HIPAA awareness, and proficiency with EMR and Microsoft Office. Experience in a medical office, especially urology, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
• Experience in a medical office is preferred, especially in urology.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Registers new patients and updates demographics with detailed information.
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances; verifies insurance details.
• Scans and files medical records; maintains confidentiality of PHI.
• Notifies provider of patient arrivals and coordinates scheduling.
• Answers inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
• Maintains front desk organization and stock levels for supplies.
