Job summary

Centers for Advanced Urology is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to deliver excellent patient service at the front desk and over the phone. You will handle patient intake, registrations, and coordinated scheduling while ensuring smooth flow through checkout and billing processes.

You will collect co-pays, verify insurance, and maintain PHI confidentiality in a fast-paced clinical setting. A high school diploma plus 1–3 years of customer service is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of customer service experience, preferably in a medical office.
• Experience with patient intake, registration, and financial duties is a plus.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Manages front desk area cleanliness and organization.
• Registers new patients and updates demographics, including insurance info.
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations when required.
• Scans and files medical records into patient charts.
• Notifies providers of patient arrivals and coordinates flow with staff.
• Schedules follow-up services and office visits.
• Maintains confidentiality of PHI and HIPAA compliance.
