Job summary

Prevea Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to welcome, register, and schedule patients and visitors. This role acts as a liaison between patients and medical staff, creating a positive first impression across phone, in person, or via MyPrevea.

You will handle demographic and insurance data, route inquiries, assist with financial questions, collect payments, and schedule appointments, helping keep the patient flow smooth and patients informed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in customer service/healthcare preferred.
• Strong phone and computer skills; ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and register patients and visitors in a friendly, positive manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate communications with staff.
• Obtain and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Route inquiries, complaints and messages to appropriate parties.
• Assist patients with financial inquiries, including policies and payments.
• Collect required payments such as co-pays and balances at time of service.
• Complete account, referral, and claim workflows in queues as needed.
• Provide accurate daily deposits to appropriate staff for processing.
• Support team and interact positively with staff across the organization.
