Job summary

Prevea Health in Wisconsin is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative to welcome and assist patients and visitors with registration and scheduling. This role acts as the first point of contact, delivering a positive experience over the phone and in person and through the MyPrevea portal.

The PSR ensures accurate demographic and insurance information, handles questions about billing, and coordinates with medical staff to support smooth patient care. 40 hours/week, benefit eligible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in customer service, insurance and/or healthcare setting preferred.
• Display proficient telephone and computer skills with clear and professional speaking abilities.
• Able to provide exceptional customer service by actively listening and asking questions.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with changing protocols.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, register, and schedule patients and visitors in a friendly manner.
• Act as liaison between patients and medical staff.
• Route medical inquiries, complaints, and messages to appropriate parties.
• Assist patients with financial inquiries, including policies, insurance, and payments.
• Collect payments and deposits and complete account workflows in queues.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments and manage daily deposits.
