Job summary

La Clínica de La Raza is looking for Clinical Office Assistants to deliver a great patient experience in a fast-paced clinic. You will greet patients, register them in the EMR, verify eligibility, collect payments, and route calls—all while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and office experience, are proficient in MS Word/Outlook, and communicate well with diverse communities. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Word and Outlook; familiarity with EHR/PM systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, confirm purpose of visit, and register patients in the electronic system.
• Determine source of payment by verifying program eligibility in government or insurance plans.
• Collect payment for services rendered, operate cash register, and maintain an accurate till.
• Hear and resolve patient complaints or escalate appropriately.
• Answer telephone inquiries and route calls; schedule, confirm, and process appointments.
• Perform general office duties and manage data entry for medical records.
