La Clínica de La Raza is seeking a Clinical Office Assistant to deliver a welcoming, patient-centered experience in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will greet visitors, register patients, verify eligibility, and assist with front-desk duties to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires 1–2 years in a clinical or similar office environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work calmly under pressure while supporting care teams and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years in a clinical or similar professional office setting.
• Knowledge of basic medical/dental terminology and office procedures.
• Familiarity with MS Word and Outlook; experience with EHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and register patients in the electronic system.
• Determine source of payment by verifying program eligibility.
• Collect payment for services, operate cash register, and maintain an accurate till.
• Hear and resolve patient complaints or escalate appropriately.
• Schedule, confirm, and process appointments.
• Receive and route messages or documents to appropriate staff.
• Retrieve and enter data into medical records system.
• Screen and monitor requests, completing or routing as assigned.
• Inventory stock and verify receipt of supplies.
• Perform record keeping duties as required.
