VillageMD is seeking a Per Diem Patient Service Representative in Saddle Brook, NJ. You will greet patients, manage registrations, process payments, and coordinate scheduling and insurance verifications with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires strong customer service, English communication, and basic computer skills; experience with EHR and Practice Management Systems is preferred. This position supports satellite offices on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Previous PSR experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology preferred.
• Basic proficiency in computer use; Windows-based environment preferred.
• Experience with EHR, Practice Management System and Departmental/Ancillary Systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greets visitors, patients, and families in a friendly professional manner and directs them appropriately.
• Maintains an efficient patient flow through the registration process and provides excellent customer service to patients/families.
• Promptly answers the telephone, directs calls appropriately, takes messages and delivers to the appropriate individual.
• Informs patients of delays and assists with patient comfort when schedules are delayed.
• Posts self-pay charges, collects payments, and provides receipts; reconciles daily payments.
• Opens/closes batches, reconciles collections, prepares deposits and documents corrections.
• Scans insurance cards, processes verifications, updates patient accounts and demographics.
• Schedules appointments accurately and reviews eligibility; uses waitlist when applicable.
• Schedules and enters orders for diagnostic tests and procedures; ensures pre-authorizations.
• Communicates problems or issues to Supervisor/Manager promptly.
