VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, manage registration, and ensure a smooth patient flow at satellite offices in New Jersey. You will handle calls, verify insurance, collect payments, and support pre-authorization efforts with the care team.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, English communication, and proficiency with medical office systems within a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical office terminology preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Windows-based computers and common office technologies.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors, patients, and families in a friendly, professional manner and directs them appropriately.
• Maintains efficient patient flow through registration and delivers excellent service to patients and families.
• Answers phone calls promptly, directs calls, takes accurate messages and demonstrates proper etiquette.
• Informs patients of delays and assists with comfort during waiting times.
• Processes self-pay charges, collects payments, and reconciles daily payments and deposits.
