Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics is seeking a Patient Access Representative to serve as the first contact for patients and to manage accurate registration, insurance verification, and scheduling. You will work closely with physicians, insurers, and patients to ensure efficient intake and positive patient experiences.

The role requires strong communication, detail orientation, and proficiency with EHR and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Certification in Patient Access (CHAA) preferred but not required.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred (patient registration, insurance verification, or customer service).
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify personal, financial, and insurance information for accuracy.
• Input demographic and insurance details into the EHR system.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments or procedures.
• Obtain prior authorizations as required by providers.
• Explain co-pays, deductibles, and insurance benefits to patients.
• Schedule patient appointments based on physician availability and patient needs.
• Coordinate with patients, providers, and insurers to ensure smooth intake and billing processes.
