Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics seeks a Patient Access Representative to act as the first point of contact for patients at the facility. You will gather and verify demographic, financial, and insurance details and schedule visits to support smooth operations.

You will collaborate with providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure accurate documentation for billing, assist with payments, and help with pre-authorization while safeguarding patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Certification in Patient Access (e.g., CHAA) preferred but not required.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred (registration, insurance verification, or customer service).
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify personal, financial, and insurance information.
• Input demographic and insurance details into the EHR system.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Obtain prior authorization for procedures as required.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Explain co-pays, deductibles, and insurance benefits to patients.
• Assist patients with payment options and financial assistance programs.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality in all interactions.
