Job summary

Resurgens Orthopaedics, in partnership with United Musculoskeletal Partners, is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and to support registration and financial intake processes.

You will verify insurance, collect demographics, schedule appointments, and communicate financial responsibilities while ensuring HIPAA compliance and a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• Certification in Patient Access (e.g., CHAA) preferred but not required.
• Experience in healthcare, especially patient registration or insurance verification, is preferred.
• Experience with EHR and scheduling software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify personal, financial, and insurance information for accuracy.
• Collect and input demographic and insurance details into the EHR system.
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility before appointments or procedures.
• Obtain prior authorization for procedures or services as required by insurance providers.
• Schedule patient appointments based on physician availability and patient needs.
• Explain co-pays, deductibles, and insurance benefits before service delivery.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information.
