Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the daily patient intake workflow in our clinic, handling check-in/out, data collection, payments, insurance validation and appointment scheduling.

You will interact with patients in person and by phone, applying knowledge of billing and medical terminology to ensure a smooth, accurate registration and a high-quality first impression for every visit.

Formación

• One year of customer service work experience.
• Knowledge of insurance, billing and medical terminology.
• Healthcare or call center experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Registers and/or checks patients in/out.
• Performs patient check-in and verifies demographic and insurance information, following registration guidelines.
• Conducts routine insurance eligibility verifications.
• Copies/scans patient materials into the EMR.
• Records non-clinical charges from various sources and handles payments.
