Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the patient intake process in our clinic. You will interact with patients in person and by phone to check-in/out, collect data and payments, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and handle referrals and authorizations.

You will need strong customer service skills, knowledge of insurance terminology, and the ability to navigate the EMR while ensuring accurate registrations and a high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Healthcare or call center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registering and checking patients in and out.
• Performing patient check-in and verifying demographics and insurance information.
• Handling routine insurance eligibility verifications.
• Scanning/attaching patient materials to the EMR.
• Recording non-clinical charges and processing payments.
