Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the patient intake process in the clinic. You will interact with patients in person and by phone, handling check-in/out, data collection, payments, insurance verification, scheduling, and referrals/authorizations.

Strong customer service, insurance/billing knowledge, and medical terminology are essential to deliver a seamless patient intake experience and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service work experience.
• Two years of customer service work experience (preferred).
• Healthcare or Call Center experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers and/or checks patients in/out.
• Verifies demographic, insurance and other information; ensures registration guidelines are met.
• Performs insurance eligibility verifications.
• Copies/scans patient materials into the electronic medical record.
• Records non-clinical charges and handles payments.
