Job summary

Rivian Automotive is seeking a Parts Advisor to drive exceptional internal customer service at service locations. You will manage warranty returns, shipping, and channel planning while coordinating with Regional Parts Specialists, Technicians, Advisors, and local management.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, organization, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Training on Rivian systems and safety will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Patience, empathy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a customer-first mindset.
• Minimum 2–3 years in a customer-facing service role or inventory/material handling.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and execute the warranty return process.
• Explain and execute the shipping process and proper packaging of parts.
• Understand channel planning concepts and how it works.
• Perform indirect purchasing using Coupa.
• Explain KPIs and metrics and why they matter.
• Identify discrepancies in parts procurement and help improve processes.
• Communicate with technicians and leads to promote clear channels; participate in huddles.
• Identify and order the correct parts for repairs.
• Source parts assemblies and subassemblies.
• Receive and allocate back orders; bin parts.
• Explain Rivian BIN scheme.
• Identify damages, shortages, and stock issues.
• Use SharePoint, Warranty Manual, Write It Right, and Rivian systems.
• Conduct daily counts and understand tool usage.
• Pre-pull parts for upcoming appointments.
• Understand pay types (Goodwill, Customer Pay, Internal) and use cases.
• Learn Rivian's maintenance scheduling.
• Explain services and deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Operate forklift where required.
• Learn Rivian safety requirements.
• Explain the 5S methodology.
