Job summary

Fastenal’s Salisbury, MD branch is hiring a Part-time Sales Associate. You will engage customers, promote inventory management solutions, and build partnerships through consultative sales. This role supports B2B activities and requires a customer-focused mindset.

The position runs 10–28 hours per week with shifts including weekdays, offering a chance to develop sales skills and growth within a Fortune 500 distributor. Training is provided and a driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driving record requirements.
• Pursuing or have a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong aptitude for sales and customer service.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Able to lift 25lbs-50lbs and up to 75lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
• Providing value to customer through a consultative sales approach
• Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
• Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
• Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
• Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success
