Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Construction Manager within Global Engineering Services NA Design & Construction to act as the owner’s representative across the full lifecycle of large-scale facilities. You’ll interface with developers, GCs, engineers, and AHJs to deliver on-time, on-budget projects across a multi-site NA footprint, with significant travel and regional office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline
• 5+ years of project management experience spanning design phase through construction completion and operational handover
• 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts
• 5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM), and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
• Travel up to 60% nationwide; valid driver's license required for site travel

Responsibilities

• Champion safety programs and standards across all project teams; enforce a safety-first culture
• Interface with AHJ to maintain regulatory compliance and enable project execution
• Lead or assist negotiations with regulatory bodies for permitting and approvals
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through handover; act as owner’s representative
• Review construction documents for conformance to Amazon standards and guidelines
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, schedule clashes, and coordination gaps
• Conduct detailed reviews of bids, budgets, and schedules to resolve discrepancies
• Assess KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management
• Negotiate contracts and responses to changes; ensure SLAs and fit-for-purpose contracts
• Provide guidance to teams and communicate changes to resource demands
• Coordinate turnover documentation with base building management
