Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team is seeking a Construction Manager to serve as the owner's representative in delivering built facilities and infrastructure for our logistics network. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle from design review to handover across multiple regional projects, including fulfillment centers and delivery stations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in architecture/engineering/construction management.
• 5+ years in design-to-construction handover and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project).
• Willingness to travel up to 60% (valid driver’s license required).

Responsibilities

• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative across assigned projects from design through handover.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and monitor budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Review bid packages, budgets, and schedules and resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with partners.
• Audit contractor performance and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with authorities for permitting and approvals.
• Ensure conformance to Amazon building specifications.
• Coach project teams through lifecycle stages.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
• Drive safety programs and accountability across the team.
• Track KPIs for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
