Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services North America Design & Construction team is seeking a Construction Manager to act as Amazon's owner's representative in delivering facilities and infrastructure for the logistics network.

You will manage the full construction lifecycle—from design review and contractor procurement through construction execution and handover—for new builds, retrofits, expansions, and program initiatives across your region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).
• 5+ years of experience as an Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management spanning design through handover.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative and primary construction integrator across all assigned projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design phase through construction completion and handover.
• Conduct detailed reviews of contractor bids, budgets, and schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance for required skills and resources.
• Coordinate with AHJs for permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Review construction docs for conformance to standards.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, schedule clashes, and coordination gaps.
• Coach project teams and maintain safety culture.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Assess project performance via KPIs for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability.
