Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager to act as the owner's representative for its Global Engineering Services in North America Design & Construction. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle for warehouses and facilities across the region, from design reviews to handover, coordinating with developers, engineers, and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager or related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management spanning design to handover.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts.
• Up to 60% travel; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative across assigned projects.
• Manage multiple projects from design through handover and operational readiness.
• Review budgets, schedules, and bid packages; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and approvals.
• Ensure conformance to Amazon's building specs and design standards.
• Coach project teams through lifecycle and ensure safety-first culture.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
• Assess project KPIs for safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
