Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services North America Design & Construction team is seeking a Construction Manager who will act as the owner's representative through the full construction lifecycle. You will coordinate with external partners and internal teams to deliver safe, on-time facilities across the logistics network, including new builds, retrofits, and expansions.

The role requires about 60% travel within North America and periodic work from corporate offices when not traveling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as Architect, Engineer, Construction Manager, or in a related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management experience spanning design phase through construction completion and handover.
• 5+ years of experience negotiating construction, procurement, and/or labor contracts.
• 5+ years of proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM, and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Champion safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across project teams.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through handover, including large-scale builds.
• Serve as owner’s representative interfacing between execution teams and internal stakeholders.
• Review documents, budgets, and schedules for conformance and identify discrepancies.
• Negotiate contracts and respond to change requests; monitor cost, schedule, and scope.
• Maintain clear communication and provide project status, risks, and KPIs to stakeholders.
