Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver exceptional Total Patient Experience by assisting patients with frame and lens selections, verifying prescriptions, and dispensing glasses and contacts. The role supports medical needs while driving retail satisfaction in a clinic setting.

Responsibilities include measuring, fitting, and adjusting eyewear, operating lensometry equipment, and educating patients on lens coatings and frames to match individual requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience by building relationships while supporting medical needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on style and prescriptions.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings and frames to meet patient needs.
• Take accurate measurements such as PD, bridge, eye size, pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders using current processes
