Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience while supporting medical needs. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts from doctors' prescriptions, connecting patient needs to available goods and services.

The role requires proficiency with lenses, coatings, frames, and measurements, including PD, bridge, eye size, and pantoscopic tilt, and involves operating lensometers; prior ophthalmic or medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical office settings preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a customer/patient-facing role.
• Background check as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience and provide medical support.
• Determine patient needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Collect measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, pantoscopic tilt).
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses and/or contact lens orders.
