Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts, guided by ophthalmologists and optometrists' prescriptions, ensuring patient needs align with the available goods and services.

The role emphasizes frame selection, accurate measurements, and using lensometry equipment to ensure correct spectacles. Prior ophthalmic exposure is preferred; strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients
• Previous medical office experience is preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
• ABO/NCLE certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering total patient experience
• Assist patients in selecting frames and eyewear based on prescriptions and measurements
• Operate auto-lensometer and lensometer to verify lenses
• Educate patients on lenses, coatings, and frame options
• Take precise measurements (bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, pupils)
• Dispense glasses and contact lens orders and adjust frames as needed
