Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience while maximizing retail sales and supporting medical needs. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts from ophthalmologists' prescriptions, and connect patient needs to available goods and services.

Responsibilities include helping patients choose frames, taking facial/eye measurements, operating lensometers, and advising on lenses and coatings to fit patient needs.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Background check as required by state must be clear.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with patients while delivering medical support and Total Patient Experience.
• Determine patient needs and sell to exceed expectations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames based on style and facial measurements.
• Operate auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate on lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames as needed.
• Dispense glasses and/or contacts orders using current process.
