Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optical Technician to support patients' medical needs while delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. You will dispense and fit glasses and contacts from ophthalmic prescriptions, connect patient needs to available goods and services, and help patients select frames.

The role requires experience in a medical office setting, accurate measurement and lens option knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ABO and NCLE certifications preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year in a role with customer/patient interaction.
• Background check as required by state; proof of identity and work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with patients while delivering medical support.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Operate the auto-lensometer and manual lensometer.
• Educate and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit patient needs.
• Collect measurements such as bridge, eye size, temple length, seg heights, vertex distance, PD, and pantoscopic tilt.
• Dispense orders and repair/adjust frames.
• Dispense glasses/contacts orders using current process.
