The Call Center Premium Surgery Counselor supports patients through the surgical journey, educates on options, and coordinates scheduling with offices, surgical facilities, and referring physicians.

The role emphasizes clear communication, confidentiality, and teamwork to ensure a smooth patient experience while guiding patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of experience in a medical practice; refractive, surgical, aesthetic or ophthalmology specialties preferred.
• Experience in ophthalmology preferred.
• Must be comfortable discussing financial options and presenting payment plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with all aspects of the surgical process and pre-operative preparations.
• Educate patients on surgical options and premium product offerings.
• Schedule surgery and appointments; liaise between the office, surgical facility, patient and referring physician.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure necessary signed documents are on file.
• Monitor schedules and follow up on inquiries to ensure timely communication.
• Encourage a team-oriented environment and perform additional duties as assigned.
