Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) invites applications for a Call Center Premium Surgery Counselor to support patients through pre-operative steps and the surgical process. The role educates patients on options, including premium products, and coordinates surgical scheduling with offices, facilities and physicians.

The counselor will educate on pre/post-operative instructions, confirm signed documents, and help optimize the patient experience while maintaining confidentiality and delivering timely

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical practice is preferred.
• Ability to explain surgical options and payment plans clearly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through the surgical process and pre-operative prep.
• Educate patients on surgical options, including premium products.
• Schedule surgeries and coordinate appointments with offices and facilities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Manage calls, inquiries and follow-ups to ensure timely responses.
• Collect out-of-pocket payments prior to surgery.
• Support referring providers and patient experience.
