Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract-to-hire Help Desk Specialist to provide desktop and user support in Grand Rapids, MI. You will handle Service Desk tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software, and install peripherals while ensuring secure, efficient workstation operation.

Experience with SCCM, AD tools, and PowerShell scripting is preferred. Strong communication and training abilities are essential to support a diverse client base onsite.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree (Bachelor's preferred or pursuing) in a relevant field, with at least two years of customer service experience.
• Thorough working knowledge of computer hardware and software configuration, setup and troubleshooting protocols.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload with strong organizational skills.
• Positive customer service skills across a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-user support for workstations on Windows OS and Office applications.
• Troubleshoot issues and service requests from the Service Desk; set up peripherals and install desktop software.
• Utilize remote desktop tools to build, monitor, and support desktop systems.
• Document processes and ticket resolutions clearly for knowledge sharing.
• Train end users on computer applications and best practices.
• Maintain security, integrity and efficient use of devices in the environment.
