Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Technician to deliver hands-on end-user assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software, and manage service requests in a fully onsite Chicago environment.

You will configure and deploy devices, support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and common business apps, maintain documentation, and contribute to IT initiatives and asset management on a contract basis.

Qualifications

• Experience providing desktop or end-user technical support.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and common business apps.
• Experience working in a ticketing or service management environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals, and business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, account access, and connectivity issues.
• Manage support tickets from intake through resolution, including documentation and user communication.
• Configure, deploy, maintain, and replace end-user devices.
• Support onboarding, workstation setups, software installations, and device provisioning.
• Maintain asset inventory records and assist with technology lifecycle activities.
• Support meeting room technology and collaboration tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Participate in technology upgrades, deployments, and other IT initiatives.
