Job summary

Impellam Group (onsite) in Wixom, MI is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to support end-user devices and core IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and executive services. You will deliver white-glove service to executives and work across Active Directory, Windows Server, and network basics.

This role covers ITSM ticketing, AV/conference room support, and hands-on desktop support in an onsite environment with collaboration at the executive level.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or similar role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
• Solid understanding of Active Directory & hybrid environments, Windows 10/11 and Windows Server, and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with ITSM processes and ticketing systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot across hardware, software, and cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with executives.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2/3 desktop support for end users across hardware, software, and network issues.
• Deliver white-glove IT support to executives and C-Suite, including rapid response and personalized service.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, applications, printers, and connectivity.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 environment including Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
• Manage user lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, permissions, licensing).
• Maintain security fundamentals (MFA, access policies, identity governance basics).
• Assist in SharePoint and Teams configuration and governance.
• Support and maintain Active Directory (on-prem/hybrid environments).
• Assist with administration of Windows Servers, file shares, and group policies.
• Support print infrastructure and troubleshooting (network printers, queues, drivers).
• Work with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity troubleshooting).
• Utilize and manage RMM tools for monitoring endpoints, patch management, remote support, and automation scripting (basic level preferred).
• Contribute to endpoint standardization and system health monitoring.
• Operate within an ITSM framework, managing incidents, service requests, and problem resolution.
• Use and maintain ticketing systems (documentation, prioritization, SLAs).
• Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation.
• Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and troubleshoot conference room technologies and AV systems, including video conferencing platforms (Teams Rooms, Zoom, etc.), displays, docks, cameras, and audio systems.
• Provide support for meetings and executive presentations as needed.
