Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily on-site operations and financial activities under supervision of the Community Manager. You will play a vital role in rent collection, delinquency management, and maintaining property cash flow while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with company policies and housing laws.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred bachelor’s or housing industry experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or related experience accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years in housing industry.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and financial functions under Community Manager supervision.
• Manage accounts receivable, posting payments, and reconciling daily transactions.
• Monitor rent collections, delinquency, and assist with evictions when needed.
• Assist in budgeting to meet revenues, expenses, and NOI targets.
• Post charges, bill back utilities, and ensure accurate resident records.
• Conduct end-of-month closings, prepare reports, and maintain organized files.
• Inspect units, process move-in/out charges, and handle deposits refunds.
• Lead onsite staff through training, coaching, and performance management.
• Enforce company policies, safety, and fair housing guidelines.
• Support strategic leasing, marketing plans, and resident retention programs.
• Show and lease units, coordinate move-ins, and respond to resident inquiries.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelor’s degree preferred

2 years housing industry experience
