Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at a housing community, under the Community Manager's supervision. You will supervise staff, manage delinquency and rent collection, and ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines while supporting budget goals.

The role requires high school completion (bachelor’s preferred) with experience in housing or related fields, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Posting payments and income accurately from applicants, current residents, and non-current residents.
• Processing and reconciling daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt; issue late notices and fileEvictions.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts; bill back of utilities where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records; audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move-out charges and security deposits refunds.
• Onsite staff supervision and training per company directives.
