Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager in Reno, NV to lead daily housing community operations under the Community Manager. You will oversee delinquency and rent collection, financials, leasing, maintenance, and administration, while ensuring compliance with fair housing and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling receivables, vacancy management, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years housing industry experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants, residents, and non-residents accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt, send late notices, contact residents and guarantors, and file evictions.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident and non-resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records; audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units, post move-out charges, and process security deposits.
• Supervise onsite staff and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Promote staff training and development; ensure effective leadership and coaching.
• Implement leasing and marketing plans; ensure leasing targets and documentation are up to date.
• Handle resident complaints and implement retention programs.
• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
