Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions at the housing community. You will supervise staff, handle leasing, maintenance, and risk management in the absence of the Community Manager, ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

The role includes managing payments, delinquencies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting, with responsibilities spanning administration, leasing, and customer service to optimize cash

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately from applicants and residents; timely processing.
• Reconcile daily accounts receivable and monitor debt.
• Follow up on bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents and file evictions as needed.
• Assist in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and audit resident files.
• Walk units, post move-out charges, statements, and security deposits.
• Supervise onsite staff and ensure compliance with policies and leadership directives.
