Job summary

Asset Living seeks an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager. You will drive rent collection, oversee staff, leasing, maintenance, and risk management, ensuring policy compliance and resident satisfaction.

You will manage daily cash flow, supervise onboarding and training, and support strategic leasing and marketing initiatives to maximize NOI and occupancy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years experience in the housing industry.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately and timely from residents and applicants.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt and issue late notices; assist with evictions as needed.
• Assist in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities when applicable.
• Complete end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units and process move-out charges and deposits.
• Attend onsite regularly and supervise staff per company policy.
• Train, coach and develop onsite staff; ensure policy compliance.
• Lead leasing efforts and ensure effective marketing and resident retention.
