Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will support the Community Manager in delinquency control and cash flow optimization, while supervising staff and ensuring compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

As an on-site leader, you will manage leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management, contributing to a safe and well-maintained property and positive resident experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income accurately from all residents and applicants.
• Processing and reconciling daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt; prepare late notices and coordinate evictions.
• Assist in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident and non-current accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• Maintain accurate records and audit resident files for accuracy.
• Walk units and post move-out charges, statements, and security deposits.
