Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community. You will manage rent collections, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines, while maintaining strong resident relations.

Responsibilities include payment posting, AR reconciliation, budgeting support, leasing, and risk management. This role requires onsite leadership, excellent customer service, and knowledge of property

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt and issue late notices.
• Help the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident and non‑current resident accounts; bill back utilities.
• Complete end‑of‑month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate and organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units and post move‑out charges, statements, and security deposits refunds.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop onsite staff to assure effective performance.
• Ensure leasing is efficient and compliant with company policies.
• Supervise on-site operations and safety adherence.
• Develop and implement resident retention programs and services.
• Address resident complaints and requests to sustain satisfaction.
