Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the Community Manager. You will handle delinquency, rent collection, budgeting, and risk management while guiding onsite staff to ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

Responsibilities include posting payments, reconciling receivables, preventing bad debt, maintaining records, conducting unit walks, and coordinating leasing activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years of housing industry experience.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income for applicants, residents, and non-residents accurately and timely.
• Process and reconcile daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt, issue late notices, contact residents and guarantors, and file evictions as needed.
• Assist property in meeting budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closings and reporting with organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units, post move-out charges, and handle security deposit refunds.
• Supervise onsite staff, train and coach to ensure policy compliance and effective leasing.

Education
