Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle general maintenance and keep interior and exterior common areas clean and safe. You will support make-ready units and perform grounds work, basic carpentry, and pool care as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year in maintenance. You will operate power washers, floor scrubbers, and other tools, with a flexible schedule and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or related field.
• General knowledge in skilled trades including construction/installation, repair and make-ready.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties and maintain common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal).
• Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance/Community Manager (trash pickup, power washing, debris removal).
• Thoroughly clean breezeways, wash floors and wipe doors/handrails.
• Assist in make-ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments.
• Operate equipment such as power washer, blowers, floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners safely.
• Support pool maintenance including chemicals handling and cleaning tasks.
• Respond promptly to on-call maintenance and after-hours emergencies.
• Close work orders within 24-48 hours and keep records updated.
