Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, RI seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead Navy PORTS programs, overseeing schedules, budgets, and team collaboration to deliver high-fidelity simulation-based training systems.

The role requires DoD Secret clearance eligibility, a BS in a technical or management field, and 5+ years of program management experience, including P&L, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• US citizen eligible for DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between PM, customer, and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
