Job summary

Serco Inc. in Rhode Island seeks a Project Manager to lead and coordinate the PORTS program, delivering simulation-based training for Navy systems. You will liaison between the Program Manager, customer, and project team, oversee budgets and schedules.

The role requires a US citizen with DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor's in CS/engineering/management, at least 5 years of management experience, and familiarity with software development projects; travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaise between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare DoD-compliant data items.
• Adhere to quality objectives, metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
