Job summary

Serco is seeking a Project Manager in Middletown, Rhode Island to lead PORTS program efforts for the Navy, delivering simulation-based training systems and software/hardware integration. You will coordinate stakeholders, manage schedules, and report progress to the Program Manager and customers.

The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least five years of management experience (P&L), and familiarity with

Qualifications

• Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management
• Have a minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss
• Be familiar with software development projects
• Have solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject)
• Travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects
