Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the PORTS program, delivering simulation-based training systems for the US Surface Navy. You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customer, and technical teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality targets are met.

The role requires a US citizen with a DoD Secret clearance, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and at least 5 years of management experience including P&L. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• US citizen with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and act as liaison between Program Manager, Customer and project team.
• Review status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
