Job summary

Serco Inc. in Middletown, Rhode Island, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the PORTS program, providing oversight of software/hardware development for Navy training systems.

You will coordinate with the Program Manager, customer, and project team to deliver on time, within budget, and to DoD standards. The role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of management experience (P&L), and strong MS Office/MS Project skills.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Familiar with software development projects.
• Solid experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject).
• Travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects; liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
