Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Project Manager to lead PORTS program efforts supporting Navy training systems in Middletown, RI. Role requires DoD Secret clearance, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years of management experience including P&L. Travel up to 10% and strong MS Office proficiency are expected.

The successful candidate will coordinate with the Program Manager, customers, and project teams to ensure quality, schedule adherence, and successful proposal activity for new work.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• DoD Secret clearance is required (ability to obtain/maintain).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience including profit and loss.
• Experience with software development projects and MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team.
• Review project status and budgets; review work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Adhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules.
• Attend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.
• Participate in proposal activities for new projects.
