Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Medical Scheduler to coordinate follow-up visits, tests and procedures for patients in a multi-specialty clinic in Louisville, KY. You will work with physicians and staff, coordinate pre-certifications, and ensure patients receive clear instructions for upcoming procedures.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of scheduling experience; familiarity with Allscripts and Centricity is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA privacy and security.
• Proficiency with medical scheduling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures.
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures to ensure understanding.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide pre-visit instructions.
• Utilize Allscripts, Centricity Business and paging systems.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
