University of Louisville Physicians is seeking a Medical Scheduler to coordinate patient follow-ups and necessary tests within a multi-specialty clinic. You will interact with patients of all ages and work as part of the healthcare team to ensure clear instructions and timely scheduling.

Responsibilities include securing pre-certifications, scheduling invasive and non-invasive procedures, and communicating instructions by phone and mail. Proficiency with Allscripts and Centricity is required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; two years of scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Ability to schedule follow-up visits and tests with accuracy and courtesy.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient information at all times.

Mansioni

• Schedule follow up/return visits for patients and coordinate tests and procedures.
• Obtain pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Discuss procedure instructions with patients and schedule accordingly.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and send follow-up instructions by letter.
• Utilize Allscripts, Centricity Business, and online paging systems.
