UofL Health is seeking a Medical Scheduler to support clinicians by coordinating follow-up visits and essential tests for patients across our Louisville facilities. The role involves patient contact, arranging pre-certifications, and ensuring clear instructions are communicated for procedures.

Responsibilities include scheduling follow-ups, tests, and procedures, using Allscripts and Centricity Business, and maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED/Equivalent.
• Two years scheduling experience in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Experience with Allscripts and Centricity Business systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule follow up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain appropriate pre-certifications and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures to ensure understanding.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide instructions.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business and online paging systems; retrieve information from hospital systems.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Exhibit friendly and helpful behavior.
• Other duties as assigned.
