Job summary

Westat, Inc. seeks Field Interviewers to support the MEPS study across the United States. This part-time role conducts in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults, travelling to households and coordinating data collection with a Westat laptop.

Mandatory January 2027 training and possible overnight travel are required. Expect evening and weekend hours with breaks between data collection rounds; overtime and benefits are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older (or emancipated minor) with ability to enter binding confidentiality agreements.
• Available for mandatory web-based and in-person training during January 2027.
• Available to travel to in-person training and to local and long-distance households.
• Commit to data collection periods from January 2027 to December 2030.

Responsibilities

• Contact households in-person and by phone to introduce the study and gain cooperation.
• Set appointments, complete interviews, and collect electronic and hard-copy documents.
• Transmit data daily and comply with data security and confidentiality requirements.
